A warmer global image gives China more room to boost cooperation

Positive views of China have spread steadily since reaching lows at the start of the decade amid the pandemic.

Now China is viewed more positively than the United States in many countries, while opinions of the US have worsened.

Those are the main findings of surveys recently published by the US-based Pew Research Centre, covering 42,000 people in 36 countries.
