The war between the US and Iran may be heading into new territory, as both countries escalate in terms of rhetoric and strikes — which has resulted in hundreds of more injuries to American troops than previously reported.
It appears months of war has not brought the Iranian regime to its knees after Iran attacked water desalination and power plants in Kuwait while launching missiles towards American assets on Tuesday; retaliation for more than 10 days of U.S. military escalation.
The Pentagon reported that the war has cost the U.S. government $37.5 billion so far, inviting further scrutiny of the conflict.
As Reggie Cecchini explains, there’s also risk that the conflict could widen and further disrupt energy markets.
