Andy Burham is officially the UK’s seventh Prime Minister in just a decade, replacing outgoing PM Keir Starmer.
Burnham arrived at 10 Downing St Monday after meeting with King Charles at Buckingham palace, where he was formally sworn into his new role.
In his first speech as Prime Minister, Burnham said he will “put the care of people at the heart of everything I do,” and asked for people to put their trust in him.
Many Brits are unfamiliar with exactly who Andy Burnham is and are skeptical about what he brings to the table.
Resident Aaron Simpson feels that the new PM is “a lost cause.”
Andy Burnham is the former mayor of Greater Manchester, which gives Brits hope that he will bring much needed change to the nation.
