U.S. Spacewalk 96

At approximately 8:35 a.m. EDT (1235 UTC) on Aug. 6, 2026, NASA astronauts Anil Menon and Jessica Meir will venture outside the International Space Station for an approximately six-and-a-half-hour spacewalk.

The pair will install hardware that will modify the station’s 3B power channel and prepare it for the future installation of an International Space Station Roll-Out Solar Array.

This spacewalk will be the first for Menon and the sixth for Meir.

Meir will serve as spacewalk crew member 1 and will wear a suit with red stripes.

Menon will serve as crew member 2 and will wear an unmarked suit.
