CreeFest is being held in Timmins for the first time.
Organizers say the move makes the annual celebration more accessible to Cree families living in the city.
The free event features traditional music, drumming, dancing, arts and crafts and youth activities.
Officials say it also supports Indigenous artists and entrepreneurs across the North.
