US President Donald Trump has renewed claims of widespread election fraud, releasing declassified documents and ordering new investigations into alleged vulnerabilities in the US electoral system.
The White House says the documents reveal evidence of election security concerns, while critics argue voter fraud remains extremely rare and accuse Trump of undermining confidence ahead of the midterm elections.
Independent studies and bipartisan organisations have found only a tiny fraction of voter registrations involve non-citizens.
Al Jazeera's Patty Culhane reports from Washington, DC.
