US launches fresh strikes on Iran - as Tehran issues oil warning

Iran and the United States are exchanging attacks once again after the collapse of efforts to ease tensions in the Gulf.

The latest escalation comes as the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) warns it could cut off the flow of oil through the Strait of Hormuz, one of the world's most important shipping routes.

The threat follows Donald Trump's decision to abandon a proposed charge on shipping using the strait, while the US continues military action against Iranian targets.
