Florida Keys charter fishing captain struck by lightning, sheriff’s office says

Richard Stanczyk, one of the sons of the senior Richard Stanczyk, who’s owned the marina since the 1970s, was hospitalized in a lightning strike Thursday, Aug. 20, 2026, the Monroe County Sheriff’s Office said.
