Floods, landslides hit parts of Cotabato province

KIDAPAWAN CITY, Cotabato—Localized thunderstorms and the southwest monsoon have triggered heavy downpour that resulted in flash floods and landslides in some areas of Cotabato province on Monday afternoon.

Psalmer Bernalte, City Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (CDRRMO) chief, disclosed that a landslide struck Sitio Sumayahon, Barangay Perez, triggered by continuous heavy rainfall.
