Ann Widdecombe died after being HIT 21 TIMES with hammer, court told

Ann Widdecombe died after being hit on the head 21 times with a hammer at her home in Devon, prosecutors have said.

It comes as Joshua Kerry, 28, from Rotherham, South Yorkshire was remanded in custody to appear at the Old Bailey this afternoon (July 21) after he appeared at Westminster Magistrates’ Court charged with murder.

The former MP and MEP was found with “visible injuries” at her home in Haytor on Dartmoor, Devon, on July 9, a brief hearing at Exeter Coroner’s Court heard.
