Macron vows 'zero tolerance' for arson after worse wildfire season since 1945

Visiting the fire-ravaged Fontainebleau forest, in the Paris region, the French president pledged a crackdown on arsonists as wildfires have burned some 35,000 hectares nationwide this year, more than all of 2025.
