Lin Jian, a Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesman, said at a press briefing in Beijing on Tuesday that China's policy position on "developing relations with Britain has remained consistent."
Lin made the remarks in response to a media query regarding Andy Burnham taking office as Britain's new prime minister and forming a new cabinet on Monday.
