Government seizes control of British Steel to 'protect UK steelmaking' at Scunthorpe plant that costs taxpayer £1.3m a day
The Department for Business and Trade said the move was essential to maintain steel production at British Steel's site in Scunthorpe, to protect both the company's future and UK supply chains.
