Alleged ex-NPA secretary surrenders in Caraga

SAN FRANCISCO, Agusan del Sur — In an apparent significant blow to the remnants of the communist insurgency, a former high-ranking official of the dismantled North Eastern Mindanao Regional Committee (NEMRC) of the New People’s Army (NPA) has voluntarily surrendered to government forces in Surigao del Sur.
