Congo Ebola outbreak becomes deadliest in country’s history

The Ebola outbreak in the Democratic Republic of Congo has become the deadliest recorded in the country, with 2,325 people killed since authorities declared the epidemic in May.


Government figures released on Sunday put the number of confirmed infections at 4,945.

Health authorities recorded 101 new cases during the previous 24 hours.
