Indian opposition leader Rahul Gandhi and members of the Congress party were detained on Tuesday as they protested outside Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi's house in New Delhi.

The leaders called out alleged police brutality against Gen Z protesters on Monday, and also demanded the resignation of Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan.

Priyanka Gandhi, a member of parliament, raised slogans, "End this dictatorship, Modi is a coward."

Federal Minister Jitendra Singh reiterated Modi's assurance, saying "those responsible for the paper leakage episodes will face the severest punishment."

Youth anger and protests over massive exam leaks have become the biggest challenge for Modi in his third term as millions have joined the Cockroach Janta Party movement opposing Modi's government and demanding the resignation of Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan.
