Mariners utilityman Brendan Donovan lands on 7-day concussion IL after batting cage accident
The Seattle Mariners placed utilityman Brendan Donovan on the seven-day concussion injured list on Sunday, a day after he hit in the head by a baseball in the batting cages.
Donovan was a late scratch from the lineup for Saturday night’s 5-4 victory over the Chicago Cubs.
Wilson said Sunday that Donovan was hit by a pitch while taking swings pregame.
