Supreme Court Strikes Down Hawaii Gun Law

Justice Samuel Alito’s majority opinion said the law effectively gave private property owners a default right to exclude firearms, violating the right to bear arms in public.

The ruling is expected to affect similar laws in several blue states and continues the high court’s expansion of gun rights since its landmark Bruen decision.

Gun control advocates condemned it as a setback for public safety.
