Trump Aide Placed Bets on His Speeches

President Trump’s longtime teleprompter operator Gabriel Perez was placed on unpaid leave after allegedly using advance knowledge of speeches to earn more than $100,000 on prediction market Kalshi.

The White House condemned the conduct as a ‘disgrace’ and the Commodity Futures Trading Commission is investigating.

Perez had operated Trump’s teleprompter for more than a decade, giving him access to prepared remarks before they were delivered.

The case has raised fresh questions about the integrity of political prediction markets and insider access within the administration.
