EU and Ukraine Sign Drone Production Deal

The European Union and Ukraine signed a defence industrial partnership to combine Kyiv's battlefield expertise with EU manufacturing capacity for joint drone and counter-drone production.

The deal was announced during Ursula von der Leyen's visit to Kyiv, which was overshadowed by a Russian ballistic missile strike on the capital.

The partnership aims to scale up production of unmanned aerial vehicles that have become critical to Ukraine's war effort.

The agreement represents a deepening of defence industrial cooperation between the EU and Ukraine as the conflict continues.
