Turkey raises inflation forecast, closes gap with markets
Turkey's central bank has raised its end-2026 inflation forecast from 26 percent to 28 percent, while leaving the 24 percent intermediate target that guides monetary policy unchanged.
The move brings the bank's forecast closer to market expectations and includes a rare admission of 'partial failure' on inflation.
The central bank also noted that it would continue to use all available tools to bring inflation down.
