UK Warns on ‘Free Holiday’ Drug Traps

The UK Home Office warned young travellers not to accept offers of free holidays or luxury travel packages from organised crime groups, which are used as a ploy to recruit drug mules.

Those caught face severe penalties for drug smuggling, and authorities are stepping up awareness campaigns at airports and online.

The warning comes as gangs increasingly target students and young adults with promises of all-expenses-paid trips.

Officials urged the public to report suspicious offers and to be vigilant about the risks of overseas trafficking operations.
