Post Office replaces Fujitsu
The UK Post Office has awarded £500 million in contracts to Accenture and OneView Commerce to replace its scandal-hit Horizon IT system.
The move aims to finally move on from the Fujitsu software responsible for the wrongful prosecution of hundreds of sub-postmasters.
Accenture will manage the transition while OneView Commerce develops the new cloud-based platform.
The project is expected to take several years to fully implement across the national network.
This decision follows intense public and political pressure to sever ties with Fujitsu following the public inquiry into the Horizon scandal.
