Saudi Arabia Strikes Houthi Targets in Yemen

Saudi Arabia launched air strikes on Houthi military targets in Yemen’s Hodeidah province after the Iran-backed group attacked Saudi oil tankers in the Red Sea.

Houthi media reported two people injured and strikes on telecom facilities and Kamaran Island.

The Houthis vowed ‘escalation for escalation’ and threatened further attacks on Saudi oil infrastructure.

Saudi civil defence later said the danger in Yanbu had passed, but maritime traffic through the Strait of Hormuz remained sharply reduced.
