Trump-Backed Candidates Sweep Arizona Primaries

President Donald Trump's endorsed candidates dominated Arizona's Republican primaries, with Representative Andy Biggs winning the gubernatorial nomination to face Democratic Governor Katie Hobbs in November.

Former NFL kicker Jay Feely won the GOP primary in the battleground 1st Congressional District, while former sheriff Mark Lamb, dogged by sex scandal allegations, secured the nomination for the 5th District.

Election denier Alexander Kolodin won the Republican primary for secretary of state, and state Senate President Warren Petersen, who gave 2020 election records to the FBI, won the attorney general nomination.

On the Democratic side, Representative Greg Stanton fended off a progressive challenger in the 4th District.
