Trump sued over paid Truth Social access
President Donald Trump was sued in federal court to stop him from making money off a new, paid service at Truth Social that offers early access to his posts.
The lawsuit, filed by The Intercept and the Freedom of the Press Foundation, argues that the service violates the First Amendment by giving traders and others with deep pockets an unfair advantage.
The case could set a precedent for how political figures monetize their online platforms.
