Turkish Airlines flight catches fire

A Turkish Airlines Airbus carrying 278 people was safely evacuated at Kathmandu's Tribhuvan International Airport after its landing gear caught fire upon arrival.

Emergency crews responded immediately to the smoke and flames on the aircraft's right landing gear as it was taxiing toward the terminal.

All passengers and crew members used emergency slides to exit the plane, and no injuries have been reported.

The incident forced the temporary closure of Nepal's main international airport for nearly two hours, disrupting several other scheduled flights.
