Visa to buy BioCatch for $2.4 bn

The acquisition, valued at $2.4 billion, will integrate BioCatch’s behavioural‑analytics engine into Visa’s existing tokenisation and risk‑management services.

BioCatch’s technology monitors user interactions – such as mouse movements and typing patterns – to detect fraudulent activity in real time.

Visa expects the combined offering to reduce fraud losses for merchants by up to 30 % and to accelerate adoption of its new “Visa Secure AI” program.
