Waymo recalls 3,800 robotaxis

Self-driving car company Waymo has issued a voluntary software recall for approximately 3,800 of its robotaxis.

The move follows incidents where vehicles entered flooded roadways, potentially leading to a loss of control.

The company stated that the update will improve the fleet's ability to detect and avoid deep water.

Despite the recall, Waymo maintains that its autonomous technology remains significantly safer than human drivers based on internal safety data.
