Ford recalls 1.4M trucks

The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) launched an investigation after reports of trucks swerving off the road due to the sudden loss of control.

Ford has acknowledged at least one accident and two injuries potentially related to the transmission range sensor failure.

Dealers will provide a software update to remedy the issue, which can cause an intermittent signal loss.

This massive recall comes as a blow to the automaker's flagship range, which remains the best-selling truck in North America.
