Trump Plans Gaza ‘Pilot’ City

President Trump’s Board of Peace is set to establish a ‘pilot’ city in Gaza, a controversial move after months of failed attempts to advance a US peace deal for the enclave.

The plan was unveiled as Trump met Lebanon’s president and lifted the ban on direct US flights to Beirut.

Trump promised US support for Lebanon in the White House meeting, marking the first visit by a Lebanese president since 2009.

Lebanon's prime minister separately toured a shattered southern village and called for a complete Israeli military withdrawal.
