Widdecombe Struck 21 Times with Hammer, Court Hears

Shocking details emerged in court about the final moments of Ann Widdecombe, who was killed while having lunch at her Devon home.

The accused, Joshua Kerry, allegedly struck her 21 times with a hammer in what prosecutors called a targeted attack.

Kerry, 28, appeared at Westminster Magistrates' Court and was remanded in custody.

Widdecombe, a former Conservative minister and Reform UK spokeswoman, was remembered as a formidable political figure.
