Marcos and Duterte Trust Ratings Drop in Q2 2026 Survey

President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. and Vice President Sara Duterte both saw their performance and trust ratings decline in the second quarter of 2026, according to a noncommissioned Octa Research survey released on the day of the SONA. The Palace said Duterte’s decline reflected public dissatisfaction with her lack of contribution to addressing national problems.

The survey results added to the political pressure on the administration as it entered the final two years of its term.

The findings were published alongside the President’s address, amplifying the narrative of waning public confidence.
