Lagos governor rebuts Rivers rivalry claim

During a press conference in Lagos, the governor said the comment was a “baseless attack” aimed at undermining his administration’s development agenda.

He warned that such rhetoric could distract from pressing issues such as infrastructure, security and youth unemployment.

Opposition leaders from Rivers State responded by calling the governor’s remarks “provocative”.
