Bolton Guilty Plea in Classified Docs Case
John Bolton, who served as Donald Trump's national security adviser, pleaded guilty to one count of unauthorized retention of national defense information.
The plea agreement with the Justice Department may enable him to avoid time behind bars, but the judge will decide his sentence.
Bolton's legal team confirmed he will pay a fine of $2.25 million.
He is the latest Trump associate to face legal consequences over classified materials.
