Cyclospora Outbreak Traced to Taco Bell Lettuce

Federal health officials confirmed that shredded lettuce from a single supplier in Mexico, served at Taco Bell restaurants in five states, is the source of a cyclospora outbreak that has sickened over 1,600 people and led to 94 hospitalisations.

The CDC traced the contaminated lettuce through the supply chain to a farm in central Mexico.

Taylor Farms has indefinitely removed the affected lettuce from its supply chain.

Foot traffic at affected chains has dropped significantly as consumers avoid the restaurants.
