Keiko Fujimori Narrowly Wins Peru Presidency

Right-wing candidate Keiko Fujimori won Peru’s presidential runoff by fewer than 50,000 votes, vowing to restore ‘order and hope’.

Her victory extends a conservative wave in Latin America after a polarising campaign dominated by crime.

The National Office of Electoral Processes confirmed the result after completing 100 percent of the vote count.

Argentine President Javier Milei was among the first to congratulate Fujimori, calling her victory a 'clear message' from the Peruvian people.
