Ford recalls 1.4 million trucks

The recall affects models produced between 2014 and 2017 equipped with a six-speed automatic transmission.

Ford has stated that it is aware of at least two injuries and one accident potentially related to the fault.

Owners will be notified starting in May and will receive a free software update to the powertrain control module.

This massive safety action comes at a difficult time for the automaker as it grapples with rising production costs and supply chain disruptions.
