LeBron James Signs With 76ers

NBA legend LeBron James has signed with the Philadelphia 76ers, shifting the balance of power in the Eastern Conference ahead of his record 24th season.

The four-time NBA champion and all-time scoring leader will earn the veterans' minimum, a sum reportedly less than what nearly 18 college basketball players will make next season.

The 76ers found out about James's decision only moments before the public announcement, as he operated in complete silence during free agency.

The defending champion New York Knicks are favoured to be his first opponent.
