Dodgers acquire Cy Young ace Skubal

Los Angeles Dodgers general manager Andrew Friedman confirmed the acquisition of right‑hander Tarik Skubal from the Detroit Tigers.

Skubal, who won the Cy Young Award in 2024 and 2025, will bolster a rotation that already features Clayton Kershaw and Walker Buehler.

In return, Detroit receives three highly‑rated minor‑league pitchers, a shortstop prospect and a $45 million cash offset.

The trade is expected to push the Dodgers back into contention for the National League West title.
