Joey Chestnut Wins Hot Dog Title

Joey Chestnut consumed 66 hot dogs and buns to win his 18th Nathan's Famous Hot Dog Eating Contest on Coney Island in 100-degree heat.

The victory cemented his dominance in the annual Fourth of July spectacle, while Miki Sudo won the women's competition with 38 and 3/4 hot dogs.

Nathan's later boosted Sudo's winning total, addressing a discrepancy between the unofficial and official results.

The contest is a longstanding Independence Day tradition.
