V. J. Edgecombe

Bahamian basketball player (born 2005)

Valdez Drexel "V. J." Edgecombe Jr. is a Bahamian professional basketball player for the Philadelphia 76ers of the National Basketball Association (NBA). He played college basketball for the Baylor Bears. He was a consensus five-star recruit and one of the top players in the 2024 class. Edgecombe was selected with the third overall pick by the 76ers in the 2025 NBA draft.. He is nicknamed "The Generator", inspired by his childhood in the Bahamas, where his family relied on a generator for electricity, and by his energetic style of play.
