Cabinet revisions give teeth to stock regulator

The cabinet has approved amendments to four capital market laws, including integration of the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) into joint investigations with police of stock manipulation and fraud, as well as expanding oversight to audit firms in an effort to lift investor confidence.
