Wildfires continue to roar across northwestern Ontario, forcing the evacuation of several remote communities – with even more under threat – while completely wiping out homes and community infrastructure in the Collins First Nation.
Because Collins First Nation is not accessible by car, many residents had to escape the fires via boat to Thunder Bay.
Environment Canada says winds from the northwest will continue to blanket southern Ontario with smoke from the fires until at least Friday.
