Sir Keir Starmer has told the Commons Sir Olly Robbins' appearance before the Foreign Affairs Select Committee "puts to bed all the allegations" levelled at him over the appointment process for Lord Peter Mandelson as US ambassador.
The prime minister was responding to Conservative leader Kemi Badenoch at Prime Minister’s Questions.
She asked whether the PM stood by his statement last year that full due process was followed in the appointment of Mandelson
Sir Keir replied: "Yes I do."
