As the World Cup 2026 kicks off, a group of Gareth Southgate lookalikes gathered to commiserate the first tournament in 10 years without the former England manager at the helm.
Participants ranging from casual fans to professional lookalikes descended on a south London pub wearing their finest waistcoats to deliver their best Southgate impersonations.
The Independent spoke to the contestants vying for the coveted golden waist coat and a £100 bar tab as the World Cup kicked off on Thursday (11 June).
