India protesters celebrate as education minister resigns, Modi announces exam system reform

For five weeks, New Delhi saw one of the biggest protests in recent history led by the Cockroach Janata Party, founded by 30 year old Abhijeet Dipke.

He was joined by students from across the country in his sit-in protest.

Protesters kept pouring in at Jantar Mantar even after a brutal crackdown by police and security forces in which dozens were injured.

But nothing moved them out of the protest site.

And it was this collective determination of India’s Gen Z that forced the education minister to resign.

On Saturday, celebrations were in full swing.
