Trump says Hamas agrees to 'complete disarmament' in Board of Peace deal

Donald Trump has announced that an agreement has been reached through his 'Board of Peace' for Hamas to disarm and transfer control in Gaza to a new technocratic Palestinian committee.

Under the proposal, the gradual surrender of Hamas' weapons and infrastructure will trigger a phased withdrawal of Israeli forces, allowing an 'International Stabilisation Force' to oversee security.

Israel has yet to formally comment, having previously insisted on full demilitarisation as a prerequisite.
