British counterterrorism police are investigating an attempted arson attack in London.
This is one of several recent incidents targeting Jewish and Iranian premises in the city.
Police said Saturday they aren't linking the incident to recent attacks on Jewish charity ambulances and a Persian-language media organization.
The Metropolitan Police said that detectives aren't treating the attacks as acts of terror.
But counterterrorism officers are leading the investigations because of similarities between the incidents.
A man was seen leaving a bag on Friday night with three bottles of fluid outside a building previously used by the Jewish community.
He tried to light the contents but they failed to ignite fully and he then fled.
No arrests have been made.
