The man who exposed that a top Trump counterterrorism official trawled for sugar daddies online is a 57-year-old software executive from the DC suburbs, the Daily Mail can reveal.

Robert Bianchi agreed to be named after our blockbuster article revealed how he spent $40,000 on DHS official Julia Varvaro during a three-month fling.

Varvaro, 29, the Deputy Assistant Secretary for Counterterrorism since May 2025, was put on administrative leave on Wednesday after the Daily Mail's story was published.

'I saw a major security risk and reported it,' Bianchi told the Daily Mail on Thursday. 'That's what you do.'

Bianchi is CEO of SDVO Solutions, a software company.

He also has supplied technology to the Department of Homeland Security and other government agencies, with multi-million dollar contracts that originated before he met Varvaro.

The divorced father says he took Varvaro on first-class trips to Aruba, Italy, San Diego and South Carolina during their short time together.

But he could never spend enough to keep her happy, he claimed in an exclusive interview with the Daily Mail.
